Privacy Policy
Effective: May 17, 2026 (revised to disclose Google Analytics)
This Privacy Policy describes how Content Machine CORP d/b/a ConnectXpertise (“ConnectXpertise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit connectxpertise.com or use our services.
Who we are
ConnectXpertise is a marketing talent marketplace operated by Content Machine CORP, a Delaware corporation with a business address at 6363 W Maplewood Dr, Littleton, CO 80123.
Contact: hamilton@connectxpertise.com.
What we collect
From brands (demand-side users)
When you submit a brief through our intake form:
- Name, email, business name, website
- Industry vertical, company size
- Service needs, seniority preference, budget, timeline
- Free-text context about your need
From suppliers (agencies, consultants, fractional marketers)
When you apply to join our network:
- Name, email, company name, website, timezone
- Business type, seniority level
- Services offered, vertical experience, platform expertise
- Experience background, past client list, service fees
- Availability and openness to full-time roles
- Contact information for three professional references
From references
When a reference responds to our verification outreach:
- Their name, email, company
- Their relationship to the supplier
- Their written feedback, scope-of-work description, recommendation
- Their consent (or lack thereof) for testimonial use
Reference contact details are initially provided by the supplier, not by the reference. We reach out to references by email and identify our purpose. References may decline to respond or ask us to remove their information at any point.
Automatically
- One first-party cookie, `cx_match_access`, used only for staff authentication on our internal matching tool. httpOnly, lax-sameSite, 7-day max-age.
- Google Analytics 4 cookies (`_ga`, `_ga_*`) for aggregate traffic measurement. GA4 truncates IP addresses by default and we do not enable Google Signals or cross-device tracking. We do not use advertising pixels.
- Standard server logs from our hosting provider (IP address, user agent, request paths) for security and operational debugging.
How we use it
We use the information to:
- Match brands with vetted suppliers based on stated needs
- Verify supplier claims through reference checks
- Communicate with you about your inquiry, application, or potential match
- Operate, secure, and improve the platform
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising.
Who we share with
We share information with service providers we use to operate the platform:
- Supabase, Inc. — database hosting (US-based)
- Vercel Inc. — application hosting (US-based)
- Tally B.V. — form intake (Belgium-based)
- Google LLC — aggregate traffic analytics via Google Analytics 4 (US-based)
When a match is made, we share relevant supplier information with the requesting brand (and vice versa) so the two parties can communicate directly. The terms of any subsequent engagement between brand and supplier are between them.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or others’ safety.
Reference contact data — special note
We collect contact details for references provided by suppliers during onboarding. These references have not directly consented to inclusion in our database at the moment of supplier submission. We treat this data with care:
- We use it only for the limited purpose of verifying supplier claims
- We reach out by email and identify our purpose
- References may opt out of contact at any point, including by refusing to respond
- We delete reference contact data on verified request
If you are a reference and want your information removed, email hamilton@connectxpertise.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your data:
California residents (CCPA/CPRA):right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising.
EU/EEA/UK residents (GDPR): right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object. Our legal bases for processing are typically contract, legitimate interest (operating the marketplace), and consent where applicable.
Other US states (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others): similar rights to those above; specifics vary by state.
To exercise any of these rights, email hamilton@connectxpertise.com. We will respond within 30 days, or longer where law permits.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Reference responses are retained for the life of the supplier profile to support verification consistency. We delete data on verified request, subject to limited exceptions (legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention).
Security
We use industry-standard security measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted database storage (Supabase default), access controls, and short-lived authentication cookies. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately.
Children
Our service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated to active users at the email associated with their account.
